Desanomia [23.04.2026] What appears most frequently within experience gradually loses its expressive force. Familiarity dulls sensitivity, so that what is constantly seen is no longer truly perceived. Consciousness moves along the surface, passing over forms that are assumed to have already been understood.

In such a condition, a mode of presence emerges that does not rely on concealment, but on resemblance. Something situates itself within an established flow, following a rhythm that produces no disturbance. There is no attempt to negate presence, but merely to avoid standing out as difference.

Human perception operates through economy: recognizing, classifying, and moving on. What is immediately recognized is no longer examined. Recognition in here replaces understanding, and speed replaces depth. An untouched space is formed precisely within the smoothness of this process.

What is at work here does not disappear, but sinks into the general. Presence remains intact, even fully visible, yet does not summon attention. This absence of appeal becomes the very condition that allows something to pass unnoticed without needing to withdraw.

Habit assumes the role of a protective background. Through repetition, the world forms a kind of flattened surface where similar elements merge without friction. Whatever does not deviate from the pattern acquires a form of unintended anonymity.

Seeing is not a neutral act in this sense. There is always an implicit decision regarding what is considered worthy of attention. The rest is set aside without resistance. A mode of being that aligns with the ordinary moves within these unnoticed boundaries of attention.

Constant proximity gives rise to a paradox: what is closest is least reflected upon. Without distance, there is no impulse to examine. Without interruption, there is no reason to pause. Thus, what is always present becomes what is least questioned.

The limitation of attention intensifies this condition. Finite capacity forces selection, and selection tends to favor what is new or deviant. What is stable is left as background, even when it may contain layers of meaning no less profound.
